The first recipe is for a basic laundry soap which is safe for top and front loaders but please read your washing machine manual for recommendations before using this soap.

You will need:

  • Essential oils - scent of your choice - 20 drops

Fabric softener isn’t always necessary, but it is nice to use with large towels or bedding. Again, please consult your washing machine manual before use.

Fabric Softener

You will need:

  • ½ cup Epsom Salt
  • Essential oil - scent of your choice - combined to make 40 drops
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 6 cups warm white vinegar

Add the essential oils to the salt and stir to combine.  In a very large bowl (large enough to hold about 9 cups) dissolve the salt with warm water. Once salt is dissolved add the baking soda and warm vinegar. Stir until completely dissolved.  Store in a glass container with a lid as you will need to share before each use. Use ½ cup per washing load.

There is nothing better than a freshly starched shirt! This recipe is super easy and quick. Always test a patch of fabric with the spray in a hidden location before spraying the entire garment.
