Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat, born on November 15, 1948 in Penang, Malaysia, is a renowned Malaysian fashion designer known for his exquisite handmade shoes.
He grew up in a family of shoemakers, with his father running a cobbler's shop in Penang. He is married to Rebecca Choi and has two children, Emily and Danny.

Jimmy Choo Ltd. opens its first boutique on Motcomb Street in London, selling over 3,000 pairs of shoes in the first week.
