Pierre Cardin Biography
Pierre Cardin, born Pietro Costante Cardin on July 2, 1922 in San Biagio di Callalta, Italy, is a legendary French fashion designer known for his avant-garde style and innovative, architecturally inspired contributions to the fashion industry. His family moved to France in 1924 due to the political situation in Italy. Although his father wanted him to become an architect, Cardin's passion for tailoring grew stronger, leading him to become a key figure in the development of modern fashion.

Becomes head of Christian Dior's tailoring atelier, where he helps design the iconic Bar suit for Dior's first collection.
