We love the planet and the people on it, which is why we are proud to be Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®, Product Class I certified.

What does that mean for you? It means you can be confident that our woven labels are safe, even for babies. All of our woven labels have been proven to be free of any chemicals which may be harmful to your health.

  • Our Product Class I Certification ensures that our labels are safe for use on articles for babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age.

  • We hold ourselves to a high standard, and we hold our suppliers to the same standards. We are following our supply chain closely and require the same Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification.

Not only are our woven labels Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified (aside from our sparking and metallic yarn options), they are also made with a minimum of 50% recycled yarn. All of our warp yarn is 100% recycled, and our goal as we move forward is to produce woven labels which are produced with 100% recycled material within the next 3 years.

What is The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?

The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is an independent testing and certification system which is used worldwide. Raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products can be tested at all stages of production. These textile products undergo laboratory testing for a wide range of harmful substances. Once the independent testing is completed, a distinction between 4 product classes is made.

  • Product class I : Articles for babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age (underwear, rompers, clothing, bed linen, terry products etc.)

  • Product class II : Articles that are worn close to the skin (underwear, bed linen, t-shirts, socks etc.)

  • Product class III : Articles used away from the skin (jackets, coats etc.)

  • Product class IV : Decoration/Furnishing materials (curtains, tablecloths, upholstery covers etc.)

The goal of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is to make it obvious to consumers that the textile products have been tested in a laboratory for an expansive range of harmful substances and that those harmful substances remain below the limits established by the OEKO-TEX® Association.

The STANDARD 100

by  OEKO-TEX® - Testing

The tests for harmful substances cover substances which are prohibited or regulated by law, chemicals which are harmful to health and testing parameters which are included as a precautionary measure to safeguard health. The tests are carried out exclusively by authorized independent textile research and test institutes with proven expertise. Since its introduction in 1992, the central focus of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® has been the development of test criteria, limit values and test methods on a scientific basis. On the basis of its comprehensive and strict catalogue of measures, with several hundred regulated individual substances, the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® takes account of:

  • Important legal regulations, such as banned Azo colourants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, nickel, etc.
  • Numerous harmful chemicals, even if they are not yet legally regulated.
  • Requirements of Annexes XVII and XIV of the European Chemicals
  • Regulation REACh as well as of the ECHA SVHC Candidate List insofar as they are assessed by expert groups of the OEKO-TEX® Association to be relevant for fabrics, textiles, garments or accessories. Discussions and developments that are considered to be relevant are taken into account as quickly and effectively as possible through updates to the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® requirements.
  • Requirements from the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) regarding lead.
  • Numerous also environmentally relevant substance classes
